This Cookie Policy explains how MediaPitch Media Pte. Ltd. ("MediaPitch", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on mediapitch.pro. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy. By continuing to use our website after making your cookie choices, you consent to our use of cookies in accordance with this policy and your selected preferences.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites function efficiently, remember preferences, and provide information to site operators. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixel tags. On MediaPitch, we use both session cookies (which expire when you close your browser) and persistent cookies (which remain until they expire or you delete them).

2. How we use cookies

We categorise cookies by purpose. Essential cookies are necessary for the website to operate and cannot be disabled through our consent banner. Optional cookies require your consent before activation.

2.1 Essential cookies

These cookies enable core functionality such as security, network management, and accessibility. Without them, services you request — such as submitting the contact form or maintaining cookie preference settings — cannot be provided. Essential cookies do not require consent under applicable guidance because they are strictly necessary.

  • mediapitch_consent (local storage) — Stores your cookie preference choices. Duration: approximately 6 months from the date of consent.
  • Session identifiers — Maintain form security and server session integrity during your visit. Duration: session.

2.2 Analytics cookies

With your consent, we may use analytics cookies to understand how readers interact with our content — which sections are read, how long pages are viewed, and general traffic patterns. Data is aggregated where possible and used to improve editorial planning and site performance. We do not use analytics cookies to build individual profiles for advertising purposes.

  • Analytics platform cookies — Anonymous pageview and event tracking. Duration: up to 13 months, subject to provider settings.

2.3 Marketing cookies

Marketing cookies track visitors across websites to display relevant advertisements. MediaPitch does not currently use marketing cookies or third-party advertising trackers. This category is included in our consent banner for transparency and future compatibility. If we introduce marketing cookies, we will update this policy and request consent before deployment.

3. Cookie consent banner

When you first visit mediapitch.pro, a cookie banner presents three options:

  • Accept all — Enables essential, analytics, and marketing cookies (marketing only if deployed).
  • Reject all — Enables essential cookies only; analytics and marketing cookies remain disabled.
  • Customise — Opens a panel where you can toggle optional cookie categories individually before saving.

Your preferences are stored in local storage under the key mediapitch_consent for approximately six months, after which the banner will reappear so you may review your choices. You may change preferences at any time via the "Cookie Settings" link in our website footer.

4. Third-party cookies

Some cookies may be set by third-party services that appear on our pages — for example, embedded content or font delivery networks. We minimise third-party scripts and assess providers for data protection compliance. Google Fonts is loaded to display our typography; refer to Google's privacy documentation for details on their data practices. We do not control third-party cookies and recommend reviewing those providers' policies.

5. Managing cookies through your browser

Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies through settings. Methods vary by browser — consult your browser's help documentation for instructions. Blocking all cookies may impair website functionality, including the contact form and preference storage. Essential cookies may still be set to the minimum extent required for operation even if optional cookies are blocked.

6. Relationship to the PDPA

Where cookie data constitutes personal data under the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (Singapore), we process it in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Consent for non-essential cookies is obtained through the banner before such cookies are activated. You may withdraw consent by updating your preferences or clearing site data in your browser.

7. Updates

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in technology, regulation, or our practices. The effective date at the top of this page indicates the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated through an updated banner where appropriate.
